First day of Preschool
Tuesday was Easton's first day of Preschool. This will be his 2nd year and his last. He goes to a lady that used to be in my ward growing up in Orem. He loves it and his teacher Mrs. Tammy. So it's nice because every Tuesday and Thursday I get two and half hours to myself (well except for Gracie). On the other hand it makes me so sad that this time next year he will be in Kindergarten.I often ask myself, where has the time gone? The things that he says and does everyday makes him seem ten sometimes instead of four. I don't realize how smart he is.My dad always says that he is worried because he thinks that Easton might be smarter than all of us because of the way he acts and the things he says or does sometimes. I love how sweet he is and protective of me, we have been through alot together. He will always be my special little buddy even the day he gets married and has "another" women in his life. Don't get me wrong he is not a perfect angel all the time! He is a typical boy and is one of the most stubborn four year olds I know. I don't know if you have ever heard the song by Kenny Chesney "Don't Blink" it is such a good song and if you haven't heard it I will try and download it on here sometime for you. It is a great song though to let you know how fast life goes by. Just sit down and take it all in because before you know it your life's almost over. My favorite part of the song is "when your hour glass is out of sand, you can't flip it over and start again". That is so true. Anyway even though it is hard sometimes and challenging I love being a mom and I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for sending these two sweet little spirits to me!!!
I am just dying.. I feel like I am reliving CJ's childhood all over again.. he used to come to my preschool.. he looked just like this cutie!! How sweet!
Hello my long lost friend. How are you. i can not believe how big Easton is and that baby girl is so cute. I am so happy to see all is going well. I have a gift for you and I told Jen we need to just go out one night. Seriously Gracie is so beautiful. Are you all done with work now. I hope you get to stay home with those two cute kids. I love to see the pictures of you three girls with your three girls. They are going to be the best of friends. So happy you are doing well. Lets get together. XOXO Shelby
I cried all two hours last year when I sent Alli to preschool. THis year was sad as well, but I held it together much better. PLus, I don't know what I would do without that quiet time. Kindergarten next year is going to be so hard.
Funny Things that Easton says or does........(well atleast I think so)
Sometimes when I get up in the middle of the night to help him with his asthma and then go to give him a love and he says as he is turning away from me "Mom, your breath really stinks"! Kids are so honest.
The fact that he knows the words (I mean almost every single word) to any John Mayer, Jack Johnson, or Tim Mcgraw song. Some of his favorites are; "World to Change" and "When the Stars go Blue". When he was a year and half old he knew the chorus to "Had a bad Day" by Daniel Powder.
When he was leaving to Oregon a couple of weeks ago to go have his teeth fixed (it's a long story) and I said "Easton, I am going to miss you so much" and he said "Don't be sad mom because when I come back my teeth will be fixed and you will be happy". Wow does he really know me or what.
The other day after we had gotten home from 7-Peaks Easton was hanging all over and my arms had gotten really burnt. I said "Easton stop hanging on my arms they hurt because I got sunburned". He responded "Well maybe you should have put on sunscreen then"! Isn't he the best.
The other night we were having sloppy joes for dinner and we asked Easton to give the blessing. In which he always asks me to help him. He started out like he normally does and then paused for me to help him so I say, "Bless the food" so he says it along with adding "except for these stupid sloppy joes because I don't like them". I couldn't believe it he is such a stinker sometimes!
My name is Amy Jensen. I have been married to the love of my life (Devin) since February 2006! I have a smart cute and full of it little boy named Easton and a beautiful little girl named Gracie. We all adore her and think she is so sweet. I have worked in the Title Insurance business for seven years and then made the big decision to be a stay at home mom which I have been doing since the beginning of Summer of 08' My kids keep me busy and crazy, I love every minute of it! My husband Devin owns and runs his own business, a group home for troubled youth. He loves what he does and works very hard. We love him and our proud of him for it. Other than all that I love being a wife and a mother and wouldn't have it any other way!

I can't believe Easton is that old. I know I will be in pieces when Emerson starts all of that stuff. He is so cute!
