Special Day

It was one year ago today that Devin and I were sealed in the Manti temple! It was such a special day and I was so glad to all of our friends and family that could be there.

Devin was such a good sport about posing for pictures and for the wedding video I had done. I wanted something special to have for this day!

It had poured that whole day. I wore my dress and everything because I wanted to have pictures at the temple and do a wedding video since I didn't do one when we got married the first time b/c we had no money. The sealing was so neat and the sealer said alot of insightful and special things that I will always remember and remain sacred to me! While I was getting dressed in the bride's room I just kept praying to Heavenly Father just give me 20 minutes with no rain just so we can get some good pictures. Sure enough he answered my prayers and gave me just that. We had exactly 20 minutes with no rain so we got some pictures with all of our friends and family. We got a few by ourselves and then it started to come down. We didn't care we had alot of fun messing around! My poor dad had to follow us around in the rain for half and hour so we could get some good pictures and so the videographer could get what he needed.
By the time we got done we were soaked, my dress was pretty much ruined but atleast I got some good use out of it.
It was cool because just as we were ending the sky parted a little bit above the temple and the sun broke through, you can kind of tell from the top right in this picture. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen especially with the temple in the background. The Manti temple was absolutely gorgeous. It turned out to be a perfect day and well worth the 1 yr. and half wait it took trying to get there. I am not going to say we lived Happily Ever after because we haven't yet and it doesn't mean we won't. I am glad that I found the love of my life and am married to my best friend and we now have eternity to work on the rest. (don't read on if you don't want to see me get cheesy because this won't happen often, this is mainly for my husband anyway)



I love you Dev I am so glad we found each other in a time in our lives when we both seemed lost and then it all came together and made sense again. Thanks for finding me, because with that I found myself. I am glad we get eternity so we can figure it all out together because I know at times it's not easy but then again I don't think it is supposed to be. That's what will make us stronger and grow more together and it will all be worth it. Thanks for being such a great father and for that it makes me love you even more.You are the love of my life! Ames
